The Problem

Does This Sound Familiar?

  • Your stomach drops the second you see another dog on the footpath.
  • You've started walking at weird hours just to avoid other people and dogs.
  • Every walk feels like a battle: pulling, lunging, barking, and you're exhausted before you even get home.
  • You've tried treats, distractions, YouTube videos, and nothing sticks.

You love your dog, but honestly, you've thought about whether you made the right choice.

You're not a bad owner. And your dog is not broken.

Reactivity is one of the most common behavioural issues in dogs, and one you can make real progress on. You just need the right approach, the right support, and someone who actually gets it.

The Solution

Introducing The Reactivity Reset

This isn't another "watch some videos and hope for the best" course. The Reactivity Reset is a structured 6-week program that combines online foundations with real hands-on group training, because your dog doesn't learn in a vacuum. They need to learn around other dogs.

The first few weeks you will get things in place at home: making sure your dog is getting good sleep, diet, and exercise, and working through foundations at home, resettling the dog's nervous system, building communication, and establishing a reward system that actually works. Then we move into 4 consecutive Saturdays of group sessions where you'll practice everything in a controlled environment with other reactive dogs. This is not your normal obedience class where you shrink into the background with the naughty dog. This is for Reactivity Reset clients only, and this is where the magic happens. Ask anyone who has attended.

Real results. Faster than you'd expect.

What Makes This Different?

Real-World Group Learning

It's not a generic group class where your dog is thrown in with chaos. This is real world practice in a controlled environment.

  • Weeks 1 and 2: reset your dog's nervous system, build communication, and establish a reward system that actually works, all from home.
  • Then: four consecutive Saturdays of hands-on training with other reactive dogs in a controlled, supportive environment. Everyone starts nervous, then everyone wants more.

Complete Support System

You're never left wondering what to do next. This program gives you everything you need: personalised one-on-one guidance, hands-on group sessions with real triggers, and ongoing support from Michelle through group calls and our community. You'll be surrounded by dog owners who truly understand your journey, no more feeling alone.

It's not generic advice from the internet. This is a structured program based on proven training principles that have helped hundreds of reactive dogs transform their behaviour, and you'll have a community of owners going through the same journey alongside you.

What's Included

Everything You Need to Succeed

Group Sessions with Real Life Scenarios

You will join the program, build your foundations, then you will be ready for your group training sessions where you'll practice with real dogs in a controlled environment. This is paced out, starting with each dog working one on one, working up to being a group. It's a game changer for you and your dog.

Zoom Coaching Between Sessions

Live coaching calls where we dive into reactivity, talk about common things people are doing that make the reactivity worse, troubleshoot challenges, and give you training tips to keep progressing between sessions.

Complete Online Training Module Library

Lifetime access to all training modules, videos, and PDF guides to work through at your own pace. Leash skills and recall: learn how to walk your dog on a loose lead without pulling, and teach a reliable recall that works even with distractions, plus additional modules to support your training journey.

WhatsApp Support

WhatsApp access throughout the program so you're never stuck. Ask questions, share wins, get help when you need it.

2 Free Graduate Sessions

Once you've completed the program, you'll get two free sessions with fellow graduates, one pack walk and one social club group session, to keep practising everything you've learned in a real, supportive setting. Want to keep going? You're welcome to continue joining our ongoing pack walks and social club sessions afterward for extra training and to keep building your dog's confidence.

The Difference

Not All Dog Training Is Created Equal.

The Reactivity Reset

  • Your dog trains alongside other reactive dogs in a small, controlled group
  • A plan built around your dog's specific triggers and personality
  • Your dog's nervous system is reset before real-world practice begins
  • Expert support whenever you need it, you're never left guessing
  • Real lasting change, not a band-aid solution that falls apart in a week
  • A calm, confident dog you can actually take places
  • Your nervous system is reset too, because you've practised in a real world environment

Typical Dog Training

  • Generic group classes with 20+ dogs
  • One size fits all approach to every breed
  • Focus on obedience commands without addressing the root cause
  • No support between sessions, you're on your own
  • Quick promises with no real follow through
  • Treats as the only tool, punishment as the only alternative

"Michelle and her team at My Dog Trainer Gold Coast have been nothing short of miracle workers so far with our 2 dogs. Our dogs are not puppies, we came to Michelle with many years of bad habits and 1 dog that was traumatised after being attacked by dingoes on a farm, so he was forever in defence mode with other dogs. We are so happy with the results so far. We were initially hesitant about the crate and tether training, but true to Michelle's word, it has been a game changer. I would highly recommend Michelle and her team."

"I joined the reactivity reset program with my newly adopted dog Kirra, who had dog reactivity problems. The program is very structured yet flexible enough to do at your own time, and gave me a step by step guide that I progressively worked through to ensure that I get my foundation right. After building a strong bond with Kirra, the training sessions with Michelle were where the magic happened, and I finally got to experience working through Kirra's reactivity with Michelle's dog Indie. Thanks Michelle and Indie for giving Kirra and I a safe space to learn, and most importantly for coaching me to become a better handler so that I set Kirra up for success. Kirra and I are still a work in progress but she has improved heaps through this program, not just in terms of her reactivity towards dogs, but also her behaviour in general. Highly recommend, it's honestly one of the best things you could do for yourself and your reactive dog."

"I'm incredibly thankful I found Michelle from My Dog Trainer. She not only made me feel at ease but also helped me recognize the incredible potential my dog Luna has. Over the past four years, I allowed some bad behaviours to go unchecked, and I reached a point where I was unsure what to do and could see her reactivity getting worse. Michelle has been a game changer, helping me rebuild the foundations with Luna. After just three sessions, we've already seen a huge improvement in her behaviour, and our bond has grown stronger than ever. I've enjoyed the training so much that I've signed up for her 90 Day Reactivity Reset course, and I'm excited to see where Luna and I will be at the end of it."

"The reactivity reset was my last ditch effort to helping my dog go on walks without blowing up at another dog. Four weeks seemed like a short time frame but she has come so far and can go on walks without incident, and as an added bonus she doesn't react to bicycles anymore either. I would highly recommend My Dog Trainer to anyone that needs help with their dog."

"I cannot recommend Michelle highly enough. Michelle is the most knowledgeable and caring trainer I have ever worked with. My dog Sadie absolutely adores her. We have worked with other trainers before, but Michelle has been the one that has truly made a difference with Sadie's reactivity. I wish I knew Michelle when Sadie was a puppy, as I know our journey would have been very different."

Michelle

Michelle with a dog on a trail Southern Gold Coast & Northern NSW

Hi, I'm Michelle, a professional dog trainer based on the Gold Coast, helping reactive and anxious dogs anywhere in the world.

I know what it feels like when your heart drops the second you see another dog approaching. The tight grip on the lead. The held breath. The hoping that maybe, just this once, your dog won't lose it. And then they do. And you feel like a failure even though you've tried everything.

I've worked with hundreds of owners who felt exactly like that. Owners who loved their dogs but had started to dread leaving the house. Owners who'd been told their dog was "too far gone" or "just aggressive." Most of the time, that's simply not true.

My approach is about helping your dog feel better, not just behave better. When a dog understands what's expected and feels safe, the behaviour changes follow. But I also believe in building your confidence as a handler, because the lead works both ways.

"The goal isn't just a quieter walk. It's rebuilding the trust and communication between you and your dog so you can actually enjoy life together again."

About The Program

Got Questions? Good.

I'm based on the Southern Gold Coast and service the Gold Coast and Northern NSW for in-person sessions. I also work with clients anywhere in the world via Zoom, so no matter where you are, I can make it work. The Reactivity Reset group sessions are held at Currumbin, Gold Coast, Queensland.

Honestly, usually both. I coach you and train your dog at the same time. Most of the hands-on work will be done by you, with me guiding you every step of the way. The goal is to set you up so you don't need me there holding your hand forever, you and your dog will be working as a team.

That's one of the most common things I hear, and honestly, it makes sense. Not every trainer is the right fit for every dog or every owner. Before I do anything, I take the time to really get to know your dog, what you're dealing with day to day, and what you actually want life to look like. My programs include support during sessions and in between them, and I've worked with thousands of breeds and issues. I focus on real-life results and lasting change, not shortcuts.

I hear this all the time, and I want you to know that nervousness makes complete sense. Almost everyone who comes into the group sessions feels exactly the same way before they start. What I also hear, without fail, is that once they've done them, they're asking when they can do more. There are no obedience drills, no perfectly behaved dogs, and no one getting asked to leave. Every single dog in that group is there for the same reason as yours. The group sessions are specifically for working through real-life reactivity, the lunging, the barking, the moments you can't avoid. Because you can't make lasting change by avoiding triggers forever. You need a safe, controlled environment where there's no judgement, where I can actually be there with you to work through it in real time and show your dog what to do instead. It's one on one support inside a small group setting. And when your dog starts to realise they can be around other dogs, and you start to see it too, the world opens up for both of you.

Every dog and every owner moves at a different pace, so there's no one size fits all answer. Most people start to see a calmer dog within the first few weeks. The big changes start around week 2 of the group training, this is where the changes happen quicker than you think. No dog is exactly the same. What I can tell you is this: if you're consistent and follow the program, trust the process, and stay consistent, I guarantee you'll see change.

Not at all. Dogs of any age can learn, the old saying simply isn't true. My programs and training are tailored specifically to your dog, which means I meet them where they are, at whatever stage of life they're in. Age is rarely the barrier people think it is.

Absolutely. Some of the most rewarding work I do is with dogs that other trainers have given up on. I use a balanced approach and I'm not afraid of a challenge.

Results depend on your commitment and consistency. If you complete all modules, attend all four sessions, practice daily (5 to 10 minutes), and submit all accountability checkpoints, you will see improvement. However, if you're not seeing progress despite doing the work, I'll continue to work with you beyond the 6 weeks at no additional cost. What training that includes will be at our discretion to ensure you see results. Your success is my priority. Clients in the program are having great success, and my priority is that you will too.

Due to the nature of the program and the resources involved, we do not offer refunds once the program has commenced. If you have concerns, please reach out directly and we will work with you.

Yes. If you'd prefer to split the investment, reach out directly and I'll let you know what options are available. Full payment is preferred, but I want to make sure the right dogs get the help they need.

My Promise To You

The Reactivity Reset Guarantee

If you follow the program and don't see notable results in your dog's reactivity and overall behaviour, I will continue to work with you at no extra cost until you do.

That's how confident I am in this process. You show up, do the work, and I'll be there every step of the way.

Terms and conditions apply. Guarantee is valid for clients who complete all program modules, attend all group sessions, and actively implement the training between sessions.
